Day 3, Coords, Movies, Contests!

Hey all! So I have some exciting news (for me anyway):
I won Noxin's circle lens giveaway!

So that meant that I got to pick out 2 pair of lenses from LensVillage, and these are the ones that I picked:

Seeshell Cosmo/DizonEye in Blue
GEO Flower Bonaire in Grey
I'm super stoked that I won, of course who wouldn't be?
2 weekends ago on Sunday, my fiance and I went to go see the Avengers (opening weekend). It was super good! My favorite "brothers" Thor and Loki were aaaaaahmaaaazing. I prefer Loki over Thor, though. Something about his mischevious and "damaged" personality makes him very appealing to me.

The actor who portrays him, Tom Hiddleston is devilishly handsome and charismatic, not to mention an amazing actor.

He portrayed F. Scott Fitzgerald in Midnight in Paris, which is an amazing movie as well. He nailed Fitzgerald to a T, same with Allison Pill who played his wife, Zelda. Adrien Brody is also in it; he plays Salvador Dali and I don't think that there could ever be a more perfect person to play that part.

Interesting. Very true, but interesting nonetheless.

Anyway, here's what I wore to see Avengers:

Taken with Instagram
Dress; Target
Shoes; Forever21
Amber Necklace; Hazelaid

It wasn't really gal, I was going for a more early-1960's look with the print of the dress and my makeup. I did a similar look on Mother's Day. Same dress, slightly different hair and makeup.

Close up of face (and under-eye bags >_< that's what having a kid does to you)

So, anyway, done with that now.
Oh, I kind of started tumbling again, mainly just reblogging nerdy shit of my hubby (Tom H.), Harry Potter, LotR/Hobbit, Star Wars, etc. My link is if anyone is interested.

Now for day 3 of the 30 Days of Gyaru meme

Day 03: What's your best and worst experience with non-gyarus?

Best would have to be when people tell me they love my makeup/outfit/hair/etc. which is fairly often when I'm out and about, or when people ask me genuine questions about it not trying to be a dick or put me down.

Worst is when people judge. People will judge you obviously for whatever you do whether you're gal or not, but I feel like people judge more harshly things that they do not know/aren't accustomed to. People assume that I spend so much time on my appearance that I don't take care of my son or that I don't give him enough attention because "I am vain and spend 1.5 hours in front of the mirror" when I do full-out gal makeup, coord, and hair. That is what annoys me the most because it is 100% not true. The thing that annoys me second-most are the "Why's." "Why are you wearing heels during the daytime?" "Why do you like those creepy contacts?" Why do you wear fake lashes every day?" and my personal favorite: "Why are you interested in gyaru? You're not even Asian, you have no point to prove to anyone." I've learned to brush that one off, though it sometimes still gets to me. Do what makes you happy -whether it be being a gyaru when you're not Japanese or Asian at all- or whatever else you like.

Anyway, that concludes day 3 and this blog post. Hopefully I didn't crash anyone's computers with my image- and gif-heavy post *w*

Until next time, please enjoy this cute picture of me duckfacing with no makeup and a hot pink showercap on. HAIR MASKS FTW!

I obviously have no shame. At least I colored in my eyebrows before taking this, that would have been a frightening sight, LOL.

Later gators,
