A couple weeks ago, with my birthday money, I got a gel nail kit + a mini UV light so I can do my own gel nails because they are more resilient and last longer than acrylics. And they don't stink up the entire house.
(word to the wise, don't bother with a cheapy mini UV light. Just save up and splurge on a big one, which is what I'm doing now, it's way more worth it.) For my original set, I did my nails dark purple to lilac ombre but it didn't photograph very well, so I didn't take any pics of it. My current post-fill polish job is a coral to nude ombre with sparkles on top. I love it, It's super shiny and pretty :)

Next, I tried out some darker, more "Happie Nuts" style eyemakeup. I definitely liked it, I tried basing it off of Shizuka Takeda's.
Twins? Lol nope. BTW, that coord on the left is titled "Black Like My Soul."

I also decided that I was sick of the mop that was my hair, so I shaved it all off!
LOL I KID. I just colored it.
My current color was pretty blah. it was a washed-out 7g with 3 inch roots. I was supposed to be not coloring it as part of my new year's resolution, but who actually keeps those things anyway? I took it to a level 6NG "Amber" from Paul Mitchell's PM Shines line of demi-permanent haircolors. I also added some ash-blonde and vibrant red extensions to it for volume and color variation. I really love it, it actually looks good uncurled (not that I'll wear it uncurled) and I don't fee like it needs to be in a constant topknot for once!
|Not the best quality of picture but trust me, I'm a miracle worker|
I haven't really gotten up off of my lazy ass this past week to do anything, so I don't have any coords to share. I'm taking Caleb to Disneyland with my friend and her daughter on either Tuesday or Wednesday this coming week though, so I'll def gal it up then and take pictures and shyte.
Since I'm skipping day 4 of the gal meme because I don't go out, here's question 5:
Day 05 - What do you love and dislike about gyaru?
What I love:
- The easygoing and freespirited nature of the style. I'm all about free spirits.
- The different styles all converging under one common interest - gal
- The superficial aspects of it, of course: hair, makeup, nails, coord, accessories
- The push and drive to keep going and improve and do your best at everything
- The friends I've made (Online of course. I still have no RL friends *foreverarone*)
What I dislike:
- The judgement from gals and non-gals alike
- Worrying that my coords/hair/makeup aren't up to par with my own ridiculously high standards
- That's about it :)
Alrighty then, I'll talk to you next time!
